Goodbye to Every Thought Captive

If you’re looking for my (Mike Heiser) personal blog, Every Thought Captive, I’ve discontinued it. Why? Here’s a brief explanation.

First, I’m still writing on my other three blogs: PaleoBabble, The Naked Bible, and UFO Religions. They won’t be going away, at least as far as I can anticipate.

Second, I need to redistribute my time to shift into some other projects. One of those is the sequel to The Facade.  I’ve pretty much through gathering research material for that, and I’ve outlined what I want to cover in the sequel. It’ll soon be time to start writing it (hopefully I’ll jump in this fall or toward year’s end). As part of my mental prep for the sequel I’ll be blogging through each chapter of The Facade on the book’s Facebook fan page. (Please become a fan of the book and tell your Facebook friends!) Aside from chatting with fans about the writing of The Facade, I’ll be providing research sources for Facade content and dropping a few hints here and there about the sequel.

In order to archive those posts (something impossible on Facebook) and avoid having to break them up (another Facebook restriction), I’ve started a new blog where all of my Facade Facebook posts will live. It’s called Behind the Facade (taking that name from my old newsletter).

Third, since the draft of my non-fiction book (tentatively titled The Myth That is True) is nearing completion, I also need to direct some time to what will become the website for the book (not to mention editing the draft). Print publication options are becoming a bit clearer, for those who have asked, but I can’t say more.

Lastly, I am having to devote more time to another writing project that needs to be substantially along the way (close to done) by year’s end. That one is a secret for now.
