Who’s a Domestic Terrorist?
In a new (but not surprising) low for the Obama administration, earlier today Obama’s own “Organizing for America” website referred to town hall protesters (and presumably anyone opposing his healthcare plan) as “right wing domestic terrorists who are subverting the American Democratic process.” What makes this vicious equation even more offensive is that the page on which it appeared was promoting a 9-11 healthcare organizing event. Yep. If you don’t go along with Obamacare you’re at the level of the Al-Qaeda terrorists who took down the twin towers. I guess “democratic process” is now defined as “agreement with our glorious leader.”
Here’s a link detailing this pathetic assault on free speech, and a PDF of what was on the Obama website. Why a PDF and not the URL? Because, in a show of hypocrisy and cowardice, the Obama website people dutifully pulled the page that had the terrorist remark. Here’s a PDF of what the page showed after some domestic terrorists (er, Americans who still believe in constitutional government) objected.
Sorry, Mr. President. I’m not a domestic terrorist. Neither were the guys who penned and approved the first amendment.
What’s really disturbing about this and other things the Obama administration has done is the transparency of it. Could it be that they want to push someone’s buttons who really would do something stupid enough for the Obama thugocracy to declare an “emergency” and just suspend that pesky Constitution, or give credence to those czars (read: Cass Sunstein) who have argued that the Executive Branch can and should just rule the country?
