Another Reason to Ignore Major Media with Respect to Ancient Studies

Posted by MSH under: Manuscripts and Textual criticism .

This post points out a number of errors in the “spin” put out by the BBC with respect to Sinaiticus, which just went online. This is a follow-up to earlier error-prone reporting about Sinaiticus.

I hope this isn’t news (especially in the wake of the Jesus Tomb circus – or “archaeo-porn” as one blogger artfully called it), but the major media habitually gets this kind of thing wrong.
