it's not a translation issue. You can't argue about a translation of things that do not exist. In my Open letter to Sitchin, I ask him to produce actual tablet references for his wacky ET ideas like:

* Please produce a single text that says the Anunnaki come from the planet Nibiru - or that Nibiru is a planet beyond Pluto.
* Please produce a textual explanation for why Sitchin's god = planet equivalencies do not match the listings of such matching in cuneiform astronomical texts.
* Please produce textual evidence for why ALL known Sumerian/Mesopotamian astronomical texts make no reference to a planet beyond Saturn.

He has lots of other problems, some of them reflecting contrived translations, but the above issues have ZERO to do with translation. I'm saying there isn't a single line in any cuneiform text that says these things -- and these ideas are central to his views. Like I said, you can't argue about how to translate material that simply does not exist.

I love archaeology and and ancient civilizations but I just can't seem to be budged by dr. mike heiser about his translations and how Sitchin is wrong kinda thing. My own translations and reading the crazy things in the Bible and Mesopotamia show that we do in fact even to well known anonymous scholars agree. Ancient Sumer whether he (heiser) likes it or not have a twelfth member in our solar system. I've seen alot of heisers writing and frankly he does like everybody else he uses opinion and own paraphrasing and mundane crap to use to his advantage a biblical debunker. Read the texts your self without that dumbass telling you what it means and doesn't supposedly say.

You see this is the problem with people who go looking for the ark. The thing is the ark wouldv'e been dismantled after the deluge or flood. Since it is the Middle-East and in some parts there are barely any timber to be found. So, if wood was a valued commodity and rare chances are they would have taken it apart and used elsewhere and reusing the materials not letting it sit there and have it wait for people in the 20th century to find it.

Cool story and looking forward to what this works out to be. Personally I don't think the Ark would still be on Ararat, it would have been taken a long time ago. For people reading Dutch, visit my website, the Ark, among many other stories, is in my book Anu, Adam, Charles. Go read it.

Hmm...

More ammunition for the non believers...

Don't these people know that whether or not the story is true, that its a sin to use Gods name or property for fame or to seek riches??? Woe be unto you 'good people' to whom the role fits : )

But I say to all, the words spoken by the prophet Joel, and also prophesied by Peter

17 “‘In the last days, God says,
I will pour out my Spirit on all people.
Your sons and daughters will prophesy,
your young men will see visions,
your old men will dream dreams.
18 Even on my servants, both men and women,
I will pour out my Spirit in those days,
 and they will prophesy.
19 I will show wonders in the heavens above
and signs on the earth below,
blood and fire and billows of smoke.
20 The sun will be turned to darkness
 and the moon to blood
before the coming of the great and glorious day of the Lord.
21 And everyone who calls
on the name of the Lord will be saved.’[c]

For as much as the Bible does record in several books the strange things that will happen, we ought to beware of the false prophets. They will try their best to deceive one another so there is much confusion and doubt.

Take heed.

You would think that they would get someone else in, an independent body to verify the existence of the structure. Unless of course they are restricted by the government in the area. I can understand people making something up to become famous or whatever, but to have such a large crew stage a fake ark, and not have someone from the crew squeal is a little unlikely. I reckon they did find something where they said, whether or not Noah's ark remains to be seen.
