Believe it or not, Akkadian scribes left behind bilingual dictionaries (Sumerian-Akkadian) that provided the key to later European scholars deciphering the meaning of many Sumerian words once Akkadian was cracked. Recently professor Daniel Foxvog released the Sumerian grammar notes (168 pp.) he used for years in teaching at the Unviersity of California-Berkeley. This is a unique, unpublished resource for studying Sumerian. It is accompanied by a glossary.
