Just a note of apology. I threw out my back last Friday and have been basically immobilized since.† I still can’t sit for more than a few minutes (standing is a bit better), but I’ve managed to figure out a way to type and use the computer while basically reclining.† Hopefully only a few more days of this and then I get be more consistent blogging (among other things).
From Uncommon Descent.† The quotation is what caught my eye.† It amazes me how many times I hear that a high genetic similarity between human life and any intelligent ET life (should it ever be proven) means that (a) evolution has been proven; or (b) ET made us.† Both conclusions are quite illogical.
What does postmodernism have to do with UFOs? Find out in this interesting article by Bryan Sentes and Susan Palmer from the scholarly journal Nova Religio (October 2000, Vol. 4, No. 1, Pages 86Ė105).
This post by Loren Coleman over on Cryptomundo calls for peace between the two camps. It doesn’t mention panspermia, but one of the commenters does, noting that some who believe in intelligent design opt for “designerS,” as in ETs.† Recall my recent post about how some Christian IDers are talking positively about panspermia — not to replace God with ET — but this responder to Coleman’s post shows how easy that would be.
